When Manx winds blow a hoolie, you just got to go with it!

Rachel and Tom are a wonderful and sweet couple and clearly so in love with each other. I loved capturing the way they look at each other and the way they are with each other!

As they live in London, we only had one day to get their engagement session done on the Isle of Man before their wedding. And, of course, that day was during storm Hannah! We had to contend with gale force winds and later – heavy rain! But they just went along with it and were up for anything – so amazing! And we all had a lot of fun! Besides, there is not a lot that I like more in a photo than windblown hair!

“There was a storm going on during our engagement shoot, it just wouldn’t feel right if the rain didn’t pour down on our wedding” said Rachel.
Rachel and Tom’s stunning outdoor wedding at Milntown Estate’s gardens was spectacular, despite the rain pouring down during the middle of the ceremony.  At least, the colours in the garden that rain brought out were spectacular! Despite the rain, the setting was so beautiful, the couple was sweet and the guests had a great time – especially after the ceremony when they went for the cover and enjoyed a drink or two. After filling up on refreshments and drinks, the wedding was moved to The Empress Hotel in Douglas for an evening meal, toasts and dancing.I loved every minute of this wedding and I might have been slightly obsessed with Rachel’s dress – I don’t think I have ever taken so many photos of a dress before! But it was spectacular and Rachel made a gorgeous bride in that dress!
