Charlotte and David’s gorgeous wedding at Kirk Christ Church and Rushen Abbey Restaurant, Isle of Man.
It was such pleasure photographing Charlotte and David for their pre-wedding session as well as their wedding! They are a really lovey couple with a sweet little daughter, whose attitude and actions very much reminded me of my own, when she was that age.
Their wedding ceremony was at Kirk Christ Church in Port Erin, which is a medium sized church on the Isle of Man. It’s lovely inside, but it’s challenging to photograph on the outside as it is surrounded by graves, just like many other churches on the island.
Their reception was at the Rushen Abbey Restaurant, which is one of my favourite places on the island to take photos in and to eat in! The food here is always incredible!
I love it when a couple is happy to head out for their own photographs despite the weather! And the weather was really unpleasant on their wedding! It was blowing a hoolie and drizzling. But despite that, Charlotte and David went to Port St Mary for some photographs on the cliffs. And Charlotte even took her shoes off and walked barefoot, since the terrain there was a bit too rough for wedding shoes!
But one of my favourite parts of the day was when Charlotte’s dad made his speech! It was one of the most emotional and beautiful speeches I have ever heard!
It was an incredible day and I am so thankful to Charlotte and David for having me to capture their wedding!
