A completely candid, documentary wedding coverage at Rushen Abbey and restaurant on the Isle of Man in April. Rowena and Jonathan originally planned to have a Beltane wedding on the 1st of May in 2021. But Covid her other ideas. So their wedding was postponed to springtime in 2022.

Most of my couples quote my storytelling and candid images as a major reason for why they have booked me, but this was the first time that the couple told me that they want all images to be completely documentary and a pure recording of what happens on the day! And it was amazing! What a fun wedding! It was a shame that the weather was not cooperating, but despite that it was a beautiful day! They ordered rainbow coloured flowers from Elaine’s Flowers, which looked absolutely incredible! Their ceremony was at the Rushen Abbey and the reception was at The Abbey Restaurant.

Rushen Abbey restaurant is a popular venue for weddings on the Isle of Man. And no wonder, it’s a gorgeous venue and the food they create is some of the best on the Isle of Man. And I have photographed a fair few weddings at the Rushen Abbey. But this documentary style Beltane wedding at Rushen Abbey was one of my absolute favourites there!
