Summer solstice handfasting Isle of Man
For Jenna and Aaron a traditional wedding wouldn’t represent who they are, so they chose to have a handfasting on summer solstice on Mull Hill, Isle of Man.
Jenna and Aaron are two really special people with whom I just clicked from the start. And after photographing their little family last autumn, it was amazing to be with them on their special day. Especially on top of Mull Hill, which is one of my most favourite places on the island!
Their actual handfasting happened an hour before I photographed them as they wanted it be a private ceremony. But they wanted to recreate it afterwards for it to be captured in photographs for their memories to last forever!

Handfasting is an ancient Celtic ritual in which the hands are tied together to symbolize the binding of two lives.

After the Mull Hill, we drove a little bit down the road to the Sound. As the sun went down, we took the last photos of them and their sweet little daughter Ruby.

If you are planning your own handfasting and want me to capture it, please do send me a message. I would love to meet up with you and chat over coffee 🙂

BEAUTIFUL PHOTOGRAPHS. THIS IS THE CEREMONY MY SON, WHO LIVES IN THE ISLE OF MAN, WOULD LIKE.
